Compressor high-pressure pipe (4-cyl petrol)

Compressor high-pressure pipe (4-cyl petrol)

The compressor's high-pressure pipe runs from the compressor to the condenser.

To remove

1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .

3. Detach the inlet hose with mass air flow sensor, without unplugging the connector, and place it on one side.

4. Remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold.

5. Remove and move away the by-pass pipe including the valve.

6. Unplug the radiator fan connectors on the fan cowling. Undo the hose clamps holding the hose to the coolant expansion tank.

Cars with automatic transmission:

Disconnect the oil cooler hose from the bottom of the fan cowling.

7. Remove the fan cowling.

8. Disconnect and fold away the pressure hose from the turbo.

9. Detach the high-pressure hose from the compressor and plug the openings.

10. Detach the pipe from the receiver and plug the openings.

Important

If the desiccant container has been open for more than 15 minutes in total, it should be changed.

11. Loosen the pipe from the holder on the subframe and remove it.

To fit

1. Position the high-pressure pipe in the engine bay.

Note

Insert the high-pressure pipe in the engine bay from the left side.

2. Remove the plugs. Replace and lubricate the O-rings on the receiver connection.
