To remove

1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .

3. Remove the intake manifold from the mass air flow sensor and the turbocharger.

4. Remove the engine cover.

5. Undo the high pressure pipe joint on the right-hand structural member. Plug the openings.

6. Remove the hose clips on the charge air pipe.

7. Raise the car.

8. Remove the lower engine cover.

9. Remove the front cover below the radiator core.

10. Detach the rubber hoses from the charge air pipe.

11. Detach the evaporator high pressure pipe from the clips on the subframe.

12. Disconnect the evaporator high pressure pipe from the receiver. Plug the openings.

Important

If the desiccant container has been open for more than 15 minutes in total, it should be changed.

13. Remove the mounting for the power steering cooling coil.

14. Remove the left-hand radiator bracket from the subframe.

15. Remove the charge air pipe mountings.

16. Carefully move the high pressure pipe to the right and up.

17. Lower the car to the floor.

18. Take out the evaporator high pressure pipe.

To fit

1. Adjust the oil level in the A/C compressor. See Filling and adjustment of compressor oil .

2. Lower the evaporator high pressure pipe behind the subframe and to the left so that is positioned correctly.

3. Change O-ring and fit the high pressure pipe onto the receiver.
