Repairing the window glass antenna (4D)

1.

Turn the ignition key to position ON and activate the electrically heated rear window.
|
|

Get into the rear seat.
|
|
3.
|
Have someone cover the entire rear window with a blanket, tarpaulin or similar object. It should be dark (black) inside the car.

Check the rear window to see where the break is located. A point of light (spark) should be seen.
|
|
5.
|
Mark the point on the window that is damaged.
|
|
6.
|
Remove the blanket from the car.
|
|
7.
|
Clean around the damaged point carefully and scrape away a few millimetres with a razor blade.
|
|
8.
|
Apply (brush on) contact paint 45-3007499 to the damaged point.
|
|
9.
|
Cut away surplus contact paint with a razor blade. Use a ruler as a guide.
|
|
10.
|
Check antenna performance for good reception.
|
