Trionic T7 uses the following information:

TCM

TCM sends the maximum permissible torque, unit Nm. The value is used in air mass control for engine torque limitation.

Sport position selected

ON/OFF

TCM

TCM transmits sport position, unit ON/OFF. This value is used in air mass control to correct the pedal position's conversion to the requested air mass/combustion.

Selector lever position, automatic gearbox

PRND321

TCM

TCM transmits selector lever position, unit PRND321. This value is used in air mass control for idle speed control.

Vehicle speed, LH rear wheel

MIU

The MIU transmits speed information (in km/h). The value is used by the cruise control.

Reverse gear selected

ON/OFF

DICE

DICE transmits reverse gear selected, unit ON/OFF. This value is used to determine if first gear or reverse gear is engaged as the gear ratio does not sufficiently differentiate between these gears.

A/C request

ON/OFF

DICE

DICE transmits the A/C request, unit ON/OFF. This value is used in air mass regulation, compensation, to compensate for increased load. The control module also activates the A/C relay.

A/C pressure, high-pressure side

DICE transmits the pressure, unit bar. This value is used in air mass regulation, compensation, to calculate load increase before the A/C compressor is activated.

Current consumption

DICE

DICE transmits the estimated current consumption of the electrically heated rear window and radiator fan just before they are activated, unit A. This value is used in air mass regulation, compensation, to compensate for load increase.

Brake lights

ON/OFF

TWICE

TWICE transmits brake lights, unit ON/OFF. This value is used in air mass regulation for engine torque limitation.

Fuel level

Litres

MIU

MIU transmits fuel level, unit Litres. This value is used in on-board diagnostics to set special DTCs upon misfire in connection with low fuel level and for adaptation of fuel pressure sensor values.

CHECK ENGINE Request

ON/OFF

TCM

TCM transmits the request, unit ON/OFF. This value is used in on-board diagnostics to light CHECK ENGINE when ON is sent. DTC P1624 is set to indicate that the fault is in TCM.

Immobilization

ON/OFF

TWICE

TWICE transmits immobilization, unit ON/OFF. This value is used in fuel injection to activate fuel shut-off.

Ignition +50

ON/OFF

DICE

DICE transmits +50, unit ON/OFF. This value is used for diagnosis of the crankshaft position sensor.

Vehicle speed, RH front wheel

ESP

The signal comes from the FR wheel speed sensor. This value is used for Traction Control.

Vehicle speed, output speed

TCM

Engine speed signal converted to vehicle speed.

The engine speed signal is transmitted by a sensor in the gearbox. The output speed is the same as the vehicle speed. This value is used for engine torque limitation.

Diagnosis



DICE/diagnostic tool

The diagnostic tool sends a diagnostics request via DICE, no unit. This value is used to respond to the request in question.



Trionic T7 transmits the following information:

The air mass per combustion is converted to torque (Nm). This value is used by TCM and ESP.

Accelerator position

The highest requested value of air mass per combustion from the accelerator position or cruise control is selected. This value is converted to a corresponding accelerator position, unit percent. This value is used by TCM and ESP.

Kick-Down

ON/OFF

TCM, ESP

When voltage from pedal potentiometer 1 corresponds to the kickdown position (below 1.50 V), kickdown ON is sent (unit ON/OFF). This value is used by TCM and ESP.

Engine speed

Current engine speed is sent, unit rpm. This value is used by TCM, ACC and MIU.

Coolant temperature (°C)

MIU, DICE and ACC

Current temperature is sent, unit °C. This value is used by ACC, MIU and DICE.

Engine has started

ON/OFF

ACC, DICE, ESP

When engine speed exceeds 650 rpm, ON is sent (unit ON/OFF). This value is used by ACC, DICE and ESP.

Turbo measurement values

Current air mass/combustion is converted to a value between 0 and 255. This value is used by MIU.

CHECK ENGINE

ON/OFF

MIU

ON, unit ON/OFF, is sent when on-board diagnostics report that the lamp is to be turned on. The value is used by MIU.

SHIFT UP

ON/OFF

MIU

ON, unit ON/OFF, is sent when there is a light load and high engine speed or very high engine speed regardless of lead. This value is used by MIU.

CRUISE lamp

ON/OFF

MIU

ON, unit ON/OFF, is sent when cruise control is activated with the switch. This value is used by MIU.

Consumed fuel volume since start

ml

MIU

The value is 0 ml when the ignition is switched on and accumulates thereafter for each injection, unit ml. This value is used by MIU.

DICE/diagnostic tool

Trionic T7 responds to the diagnostics request from the diagnostic tool via DICE, no unit.
