Clutch delivery pipe LHD

To remove


1. Place a cover over the splash guard to protect it from any brake fluid spillage.

2. Remove the battery cover and the battery.


3. (V6 diesel) Remove the turbocharger heat shield.

4. Disconnect the electrical distribution unit and move it aside.

5. Drain the clutch system using brake bleeder 88 19 096. Suck out the brake fluid through the bleed nipple.

6. Disconnect the supply hose from the brake fluid reservoir.


7. Disconnect the connector from the ABS unit and place it to one side.

8. Clean around the brake pipe connections using compressed air.

9. Disconnect the brake pipes and plug the holes.

10. Remove the ABS unit.

It may be necessary to insert a screwdriver between the bracket and the wheel housing and prise carefully in order to reach the outer nut.

11. Remove the ABS unit bracket.


12. Undo the clip securing the delivery pipe to the master cylinder.


13. Detach the delivery pipe from the master cylinder. Fit the clip.

14. Remove the clip securing the delivery pipe to the slave cylinder.

15. Remove the delivery pipe (along with accumulator, diesel only).


To fit


1. Make sure that the clips are fitted.


2. Place the delivery pipe in position and connect it to the slave cylinder and master cylinder.

3. Press the pipe into the plastic clip.

4. Fit the ABS unit bracket.


5. Fit the ABS unit and plug in the connector.

6. Remove the plugs and connect the brake pipes.


7. Connect the supply hose to the brake fluid reservoir. Point the hose clip upwards.

8. Fill the system with brake fluid and bleed as described under Bleeding the clutch hydraulic system in the car .

9. Bleed the brake system, see Bleeding the brake system

10. Check that the connections are sealed.

11. Fit the electrical distribution unit.


12. (V6 diesel) Fit the turbocharger heat shield.

13. Fit the battery and battery cover.

14. Test the clutch and brakes.

15. Remove the splash guard cover.

16. Set the car's clock.
