Cylinder head (in situ)

Remove the coolant pump with gasket (A).

Fit
32 025 053 Holder
(A).

|
| 4. |
Place the cylinder head in an engine stand.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the hydraulic valve tappets with rocker arms (A).
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the valve spring:
|
|
| • |
Remove the valve cones (A) using
83 96 384 Valve spring tool
|
| • |
Remove the valve shim (B) and the valve spring (C).
|
| 7. |
Repeat the procedure for replacing the other valve springs.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Fit the valve spring:
|
|
| • |
Fit the valve shim (B) and the valve spring (C).
|
| • |
Fit the valve cones (A) using
83 96 384 Valve spring tool
.
|
| 2. |
Fit the hydraulic valve tappets with rocker arms (A).
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the cylinder head from the engine stand.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove tool 32 025 053 from the cylinder head (A).
|
|
| 5. |
Fit the coolant pump with gasket (A).
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)
|
