Prise out the seal using a narrow screwdriver.

|
Do not damage the sealant surfaces on the gear shifting shaft. |

Clean the selector rod and check that it has no burrs.
|
|
| 2. |
Wind a layer of thin, smooth plastic tape around the selector rod (A).
|
|
| 3. |
Lubricate the gear selector rod and fit the seal. Remove the tape and tap in the seal using
