Open the bonnet and remove the grille.

Undo the screws in the cable stop and pull the wire out of its sleeve and the lock levers. Retain the cable stop.

Unscrew the lock and remove it.
|

| To fit |
| 1. |
Fit the bonnet lock without tightening the screws.
|
|
| 2. |
Close the bonnet carefully so that the lock centres on the locking pin. Tighten the screws.
Tightening torque up to and including Vehicle Identification Number 73514907 10 Nm (7 lbf ft) Tightening torque from and including Vehicle Identification Number 73514908 8 Nm (6 lbf ft) |

Insert the wire into one of the lock springs and put on the wire stop.

| 4. |
Insert the wire through the sheath and into the other lock spring. Fit the wire stop.
|
|
| 5. |
Make sure that the spring abuts against the stop (A) in rest position and that there is clearance between the wire stop and the spring.

Adjust the bonnet and check its function.
