Compressor low and high-pressure pipe, Z19

Compressor low and high-pressure pipe, Z19

The compressor's low and high-pressure pipe that runs from the joint behind the right-hand headlamp via the compressor to the condenser.

To remove


1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .

3. Remove the Bumper shell, front .

4. Detach the PAD connection at the joint behind the right-hand headlamp.


5. Detach the PAD connection from the compressor and plug the openings.


6. Hang up the radiator core using 83 95 212 Strap on the left-hand side.

7. Raise the car.

8. Remove the radiator core's left-hand mounting.


9. Detach both pipes from the connection to the receiver and plug the openings.

Important

If the desiccant container has been open for more than 15 minutes in total, it should be changed.



10. Detach the pipe from the holder on the subframe and remove it to the right.


To fit


1. Thread the high-pressure pipe into place in the engine bay from the right-hand side.

2. Remove the plugs. Replace and lubricate the O-rings on the connections to the receiver. Use Vaseline, Klüber Syntheso Pro AA2 .

3. Fit the mounting for the radiator core and remove the strap.


4. Screw in the PAD connections on the receiver.

Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft)

5. Press in the high-pressure pipe to the holder on the subframe.


6. Lower the car to the floor.

7. Remove the plugs. Replace and lubricate the O-ring on the compressor connection. Use Vaseline, Klüber Syntheso Pro AA2 .

8. Adjust the oil level in the compressor. See Filling and adjustment of compressor oil .

Press on the PAD connection to the compressor and tighten.

Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 lbf ft)


9. Fit the PAD connection behind the headlamp.


10. Fit the Bumper shell, front .

11. Evacuate the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .
