Trip computer

General

There are two trip computer variants, SID 1 and SID 2.

The trip computers SID 1 and SID 2 have the following functions in common:

Temp. (ambient temperature)

Speed W (speed warning, certain markets)

The SID 2 trip computer has the following additional functions:

D.T.E. (distance to empty)

Speed Ø (average speed)

Fuel Ø (average fuel consumption)

Dist. (distance to destination)

Arriv. (arrival time)

Alarm (time alarm)

Speed W (speed warning)

The trip computer is controlled with buttons on the steering wheel. To be able to carry out the necessary calculations for the display of the above information, the SID control module uses the following information:

Time, “own” clock

Vehicle speed, unit km/h (mph)

Fuel level, unit litre (gallon)

Odometer reading, unit km (miles)

Fuel consumption since starting, unit ml

Functions of the SID control module with the ignition ON

The CHECK OK message is shown on the display for about 4 seconds. If the CHECK message is not present then the previously selected function is shown. However, if the external temperature is between -3°C and +3°C, then the external temperature is displayed. See CHECK messages for further information.

To reset the trip computer functions, hold down the CLR button for more than 4 seconds. Resetting to zero is indicated by a brief acoustic signal at the same time as the text “CLEARED” appears on the display for 2 seconds.

Functions concerned are:

The display shows

“x x x” km (miles)

Average fuel consumption

“- - -”

Average speed

“- - -” km/h (miles/h)

Distance to destination

0 m →

Note

The values programmed in Dist./Arriv. are not reset.

Setting the values

Choose the function and then hold the i-SET button down for more than 1 second whereupon an acoustic signal is heard. Increase or decrease the value of the chosen function with Arrow up or down. Finish the procedure by briefly depressing the i-SET button.

If the function (Alarm) is activated a clock symbol is shown. To deactivate the function and turn off the clock symbol, push CLR. Push i-SET to reactivate Alarm, Speed W, etc.

The set values are retained when the ignition is OFF.
