The level sensor consists of a magnetic float arm and a sensor mounted in the washer fluid reservoir.
The SID control module supplies B+ to the level sensor via pin 29 and the sensor is grounded to grounding point G30. If the level is low, the level sensor switch closes and pin 29 of the SID unit is grounded. At normal level, the level sensor switch is open and the circuit to ground broken.
The function initiates a CHECK message on the main instrument unit information display (70 seconds delay).
