Detach the gear lever gaiter.
|
|

Check that the stop for 5th gear on the reverse gear detent is working by pushing the lever against the stop with normal force. The carrier must not lift and allow the lever to pass the 5th gear position and engage reverse.

3.
|
Move the gear lever to the right towards the reverse gear stop and check the vertical position of the carrier. The upper edge of the carrier's stop lug should be 0-0.5 mm above the reverse gear detent stop.
