When replacing bodywork details and aligning the body, it is extremely important that the mounting points for the power train subframe and body components are located in their correct positions and that door and hatch openings have the correct form.
Serious damage to bodywork must be repaired in an alignment bench to prevent resulting skewness or dissymmetry. Serious damage refers mainly to deformation of the body's system of members.
Diagonal measurements must also be taken to check for any skewness or dissymmetry remaining after the alignment. See Body dimensions .
