Lubrication of detachable towbar from BOSAL
|
This bulletin advises on towbar lubrication during new installation and service and comes into immediate effect. The 2006-1 edition of WIS will include this information.
Saab equipped with detachable towbar from BOSAL:
9-3 (9440) M03- and CV M04-
9-5 M98-
After a certain period in use the detachable towbars may bind during fitting and removal. For this reason the towbar must be lubricated during new installation and service.
A base oil with anti-corrosion properties and with a wide temperature range.

Clean and lubricate the coupling mechanism. Lubricate the pin on the upper side of the towbar and the lock cylinder.

Clean and lubricate the towbar mounting.
