| Removal Procedure |
| 1. |
Remove the timing chain guide - upper. Refer to
Timing Chain Guide Replacement - Upper

| 2. |
Remove the camshaft position actuator - exhaust. Refer to
Camshaft Position Exhaust Actuator Replacement
.

|
| 3. |
Remove the camshaft position actuator - intake. Refer to
Camshaft Position Intake Actuator Replacement
.

| 4. |
Remove the cylinder head opening plate. Refer to
Cylinder Head Opening Plate Replacement
.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the fuel pump module. Refer to
Fuel Pump Module Replacement
.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the 12 fasteners (1) from the camshaft bearing caps (2).
|
|
| 7. |
Remove with caution the camshaft bearing caps (2) from the cylinder head.
|
|
| 8. |
Remove the intake camshaft (1).
|
|
| 9. |
Remove the valve lifters (2).
|
|
| Installation Procedure |
| 1. |
Install the valve lifters (1).
Employ the valve lifters with a little bit oil 
|
|
| 2. |
Install the intake camshaft (2).
Employ the camshaft with a little bit oil |
|
| 3. |
Install the intake camshaft bearing caps (1) and camshaft bearing cap fasteners (2). Tighten the fastener to
10 Nm (89 lb in)
.

Install the cylinder head opening plate. Refer to
Cylinder Head Opening Plate Replacement
.

|
| 5. |
Install the fuel pump module. Refer to
Fuel Pump Module Replacement
.

|
| 6. |
Install the camshaft position actuator - intake. Refer to
Camshaft Position Intake Actuator Replacement
.
|
|
| 7. |
Install the camshaft position actuator - exhaust. Refer to
Camshaft Position Exhaust Actuator Replacement
.

|
| 8. |
Install the timing chain guide - upper. Refer to
Timing Chain Guide Replacement - Upper
.
