The tire pressure monitor system uses the following systems to perform the tire pressure monitor learn mode functions:

Tire Pressure Monitor Learn Procedure
|
After any tire rotation or component replacement the tire pressure monitor system will automatically learn the values in the following way:

Wait 18 min. before moving/driving the car.
|
|
•
|
Drive over 20 km/h (15 MPH) for 9 min. cumulative driving during one ignition ON cycle (until the indicator in instrument panel cluster is turned off, if being on).

During a learn procedure it can happen that the driver information center first shows "last known pressure values" from the previous tire setting, then dashes, then the actual pressure values for the new tire setting.
If the tire pressure monitor system does not accept the new sensor make a new drive after 18 min. still stand with ignition off (key out). Sometimes the reception of the sensor signal can have been disturbed along the road due to different reasons.
