Body Repair Systems

Using conventional methods, the process of repairing various types of damage to the outer skin of the body, from small parking dents to major exterior damage, is very laborious and thus cost-intensive.

There are methods offered by various manufacturers by which body repair can be accomplished less expensively.

These methods involve pins which are attached to the outer skin using spot welding. The pins are then used to pull out the dent.

The workshop is then in a position to give less expensive repair estimates, which can mean greater customer loyalty and satisfaction.

The time and cost advantages also make it possible to repair older vehicles cost-effectively.

The basic equipment can also be expanded as needed.

Note

This type of repair does not mean that the service literature can now be disregarded. It must still be followed at all points!

The following rules apply when working with the systems mentioned above:

Do not straighten structural components

Do not straighten high- or super high-strength panels

Straighten exterior parts only

Do not repair deep or sharp-edged dents

Do not apply additional heat

The pins must not be used in the adhesion area; see the service literature in TIS for the specific vehicle

The cavity sealing must not be damaged
