Component Name

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

Remove the Front Compartment Splash Shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .

Release the drive belt.

Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.

A/C Compressor Hose Fastener

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Note
Remove the A/C compressor hose from the A/C compressor and cap hose.

20 Nm (15 lb ft)

Sealing Washer (Qty: 2)

Discard the sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .

A/C Compressor Fastener (Qty: 3)

Note
Tighten the A/C compressor mounting bolts in the sequence shown in graphic.

22 Nm (16 lb ft)

A/C Compressor Assembly

When replacing the A/C compressor, balance the A/C compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .
