| Removal Procedure |
| 1. |
Remove the camshaft position sensor - exhaust. Refer to
Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust
.

| 2. |
Remove the camshaft bearing front cap. Refer to
Camshaft Bearing Front Cap Replacement
.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the camshaft bearing cap fasteners (1) and the camshaft bearing caps (2) in sequence of the illustration.
|

| 4. |
Remove the exhaust camshaft (1).
|
|
| Installation Procedure |
| 1. |
Check the expanse of the valve lifter (1). If a valve lifter is damaged, change the valve lifter and adjust it. Insert the valve lifter with engine oil.

| 2. |
Install the exhaust camshaft. Use engine oil for installation.
|
|
| 3. |
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the camshaft bearing cap fasteners (1) and the camshaft bearing caps (2) in sequence of the illustration and tighten the fasteners to 10 Nm (89 lb in) .

Install the camshaft position sensor - exhaust. Refer to

Install the camshaft bearing front cap. Refer to
