Camshaft Sprocket Installation



Special Tools

• EN 6347 Brace Holder

• EN 956-1 Brace

• EN-45059 Angle Sensor Kit


For equivalent tools, refer to Special Tools



1. Install the camshaft sprockets (3)

Note

Turn the sprockets around till them locked in correct position.


Install the camshaft sprocket washers (2) and the camshaft sprocket bolts (1) and hand tighten.

Note

Two mechanics are required.


Install EN 6347 brace (1) and EN 956-1 brace holder (2) into the camshaft sprocket.


4. Loosen the locking bolts (3) from the EN 6347 brace.

5. Tighten the bolt (4).

5.1. Refer to Fastener Caution .

First pass tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft) .

5.2. Second pass to 60° + 15° using the EN-45059 sensor kit.

5.3. Remove the EN 6347 brace and EN 956-1 brace holder.
