Exhaust Manifold Cleaning and Inspection (1.6L LLU)

Clean the exhaust manifold (1) in solvent.
|
|
2.
|
Warning
|
|
Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Dry the exhaust manifold with compressed air.
|
|
3.
|
An exhaust manifold leak or damage may cause an exhaust leak and may effect OBD II system performance. A damaged exhaust manifold must be replaced.
|
|
4.
|
Clean the exhaust manifold mating surface (2).
|
|
5.
|
Inspect the turbocharger (3) for damage.
|
