Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Installation

1.

Clean all mating surfaces.
|
|
2.
|
Install a NEW exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (1).
|
|
3.
|
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the 4 gasket bolts (2) and tighten to
10 Nm (89 lb in)
.

|
4.
|
Install a NEW exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (5).
|
|
5.
|
Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve (3).
|
|
6.
|
Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve bolts (4) and tighten in two passes:
|
|
|
6.1.
|
First pass: hand tighten
|
|
|
6.2.
|
Second pass in sequence to
10 Nm(89 lb ft)
|
