Do not stroke/cycle the stationary hydraulic lash adjuster plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber.
|
|
•
|
Do not allow the stationary hydraulic lash adjuster to tip over, plunger down, after the oil fill.
|
Fill the stationary valve lifters with clean engine oil. Take precautions to prevent scratching the pivot sphere area (1) of the valve lifters. Refer to
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
for the recommended oil.

Install the valve lifters in the cylinder head.
