Vehicle Direction Alert Alarm Warning Module Calibration

Vehicle Direction Alert Alarm Warning Module Calibration

The vehicle departure alert alarm warning system will require a recalibration procedure after replacing the module or the windshield. This is a self-calibration procedure, which starts after the SPS Configuration and Setup is done.

Operate the vehicle in the following conditions until the green indicator illuminates:

Clean windshield

Lane departure warning system is ON

Maintain vehicle speeds of 56 km/h (35 MPH) or more.

Drive on clear, plane stretch of straight road.

Drive during the daytime.

Ensure the road contains visible references (well defined lane markings, curbs, guard rails, fences, buildings, etc.).

Avoid lane change

Once calibration is completed, the green file assistance indicator will come on in the instrument cluster. The system is activated if there are clear file markings detected and vehicle speed is higher than 60 km/h (37 MPH).

One or more of the following conditions may increase the length of time required to complete the self-calibration procedure:

Operating the vehicle at 31-61 km/h (19-38 MPH)

Curves in roadway

Driving through snow or fog, driving at night, or driving directly into the sun

Botts' Dots type lane markings

Poor contrast lane markings

Mountained roads

Heavy traffic

Conditions that will prevent completion of the self-calibration procedure:

Operating the vehicle at less than 31 km/h (19 MPH)

No visible lane markings
