Preliminary Procedure
Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to

Differential Splash Shield
Procedure
|
1.
|
Unhook the hooks from the control module and remove the protective cover from the hydraulic pump.
|
|
2.
|
Unclip the harness and remove the electrical connector.
|

Differential Bushing Fasteners

Procedure
|
1.
|
Use a column jack as support for the differential clutch and limited slip differential, secure with strap.
|
|
2.
|
Remove the bolts for the differential clutch and limited slip differential.
|
|
3.
|
Lower the differential clutch and limited slip differential as far as the rubber bushings can be removed, take care that the drive shaft universal joints are not damaged.
|
Tighten
108 Nm (80 lb ft)

Differential Carrier Bushing
Procedure
|
1.
|
Fit the tool DT-49126-1 press tool together with the hydraulic press tool.
|
|
2.
|
Press out the rubber bushing.
|
|
3.
|
For installation fit the rubber bushing in the housing with the bevels and press the bushing into the housing with tool DT-49126-2 press tool and the hydraulic tool.
