Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

4. Remove the right front liner.

5. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (LAU/A28NER) Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (LBY/A20DTR) Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (LLU/A16LET) Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (LBS/A20DTH) .

6. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

Clip (Qty: 4)

A/C Compressor and Condenser Hose Assembly Bolt

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .

Tighten

22 Nm (16 lb ft)

A/C Compressor Bolt (Qty: 3)

Procedure

Tighten the bolts in sequence.

Tighten

22 Nm (16 lb ft)

A/C Compressor Heat Shield

Procedure




• Remove heat shield.

• Disconnect the electrical connector.

A/C Compressor Assembly

Procedure

Perform compressor oil balancing. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .



PRE-RELEASE
