In connection with component checking or replacement entailing the removal of the resonating chamber, special attention should always be paid to the condition and positioning of the two O-rings.

Swollen or incorrectly positioned O-rings give rise to air leakage which in its turn could cause driveability problems and the generation of diagnostic trouble codes in the control module with consequent fault diagnosis and rectification procedures.
