Replacement of alternator (V6)

1.
|
Disconnect the negative battery
cable.
|
|
2.
|
Remove the air cleaner and air induction hose from between the air
cleaner and throttle body.
|
|
3.
|
Take the strain off the belt tensioner and prise off the alternator's
poly-V belt.
|
|
4.
|
Raise the car and remove the right-hand front wheel.
|
|
5.
|
Remove the cover for the belt drive.
|
|
6.
|
Remove the hub nut.
|
|
7.
|
Remove the outboard drive shaft
|
|
8.
|
Disconnect the alternator leads.
|
|
9.
|
Remove the alternator air intake (duct).
|
|
10.
|
Remove the two bolts securing the alternator and lift it out through
the right-hand wheel housing.
Fit in reverse order.
