When replacing bodywork details and aligning the body, it is extremely important that the mounting points for the power train subframe and body components are located in their correct positions and that door and hatch opening have the correct form. Serious damage to the bodywork must be repaired in an alignment bench to prevent building in skewness or dissymmetry. Serious damage refers mainly to deformation of the body member system. Cross-measurements must also be taken to check that no skewness or dissymmetry remains after alignment.
