Driver Seat Wiring Harness Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat 8-Way Power)

Removal Procedure

Refer to SIR Warning .

1.	Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

2.	Remove the driver or passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

3.	Remove the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

4.	Remove the driver or passenger seat recliner lever. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Recliner Lever Replacement .

5.	Remove the tilt adjuster lever. Refer to Front Seat Tilt Adjuster Lever Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat 6-Way Hybrid) .

Remove driver or passenger seat adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (Lower 8-Way Power) .

7.	Remove the driver or passenger seat inner recliner finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

8.	Remove front seat head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (8-Way Power) .

9.	Remove the front seat head restraint guide bezel. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Bezel Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Bezel Replacement (8-Way Power) .

10.	Remove the front seat head restraint adjust rod guide. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Adjust Rod Guide Replacement (8-Way-Power) Front Seat Head Restraint Adjust Rod Guide Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

11.	Clip out the securing (1) of the recliner control shaft (2).

12.	Remove the recliner control (1) from the recliner shaft (2). Unhinge the cushion strap (3) at seat frame.

13.	Note For loosening move the cushion upper and pull from the backrest frame. Loosen the front seat back cushion at backrest left side (1) and right side (2).

14.	Clip out the front seat back cushion vent fan mat (3) of vent fan (4). Pull the cushion (5) in front to surface.

15.	Loosen both nuts (1, 2) from the seat side inflatable restraint module (3).

16.	Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the seat side inflatable restraint module (1).

17.	Disconnect wiring harness connector (1) of the seat back cushion heater.

18.	Remove the front seat back cushion with cushion pad (1) from the backrest frame (2).

19.	Remove the driver or passenger seat cushion pad. Refer to Driver Seat Wiring Harness Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat 8-Way Power) .

20.	Remove the front seat vent fan guard.

21.	Labeling the position from all fixing points of wiring harness.

22.	Loose the wiring harness (1) at the backrest frame:

•

Loose two fixing points at the backrest from the side airbag.

•

Cut two cable straps from the vent fan at the backrest.

•

Disconnect the electric connector from the vent fan.

•

Cut the cable strap from the lumbar control.

•

Disconnect the electric connector from the lumbar control.

•

Loose the fixing point of wiring harness electric heating connector.

•

Loose the fixing point of wiring harness at the backrest bottom.

•

Disconnect the electric connector of the lumbar pump.

•

Pull out the wiring harness out of the backrest frame.

23.	Loosen the wiring harness (2) at the seat frame - left side:

•

Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the seat belt tensioner.

•

Cut the cable strap from the seat belt tensioner.

•

Loose three fixing points at seat frame - left side.

24.	Loosen the wiring harness (3) at the seat frame - right side:

•

Loose the electric connector socket from the seat belt buckle.

•

Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the seat belt buckle.

•

Loose the fixing point at the seat frame.

25.	Loose the wiring harness (4) at the seat frame center:

•

Disconnect the wiring harness connector at the motor high adjustment.

•

Loose the fixing point at the seat frame.

•

Disconnect three wiring harness connectors at the heating control module.

•

Remove the cushion pad wire with the wiring harness out of the seat frame.

26.	Remove the wiring harness (1) from the cushion pad wire (2):

•

Loose the five fixing points (3) at the cushion pad wire.

•

Loose the socket plug from the heating mat.

•

Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the cooling fan.

•

Remove the wiring harness from the cushion pad wire.

Installation Procedure

1.	Install the wiring harness (1) to the cushion pad wire (2):

•

Position the wiring harness at the cushion pad wire.

•

Install the five fixing points (3) at the cushion pad wire.

•

Install the socket plug from the heating mat to the cushion pad wire.

•

Connect the wiring harness connector of the vent fan.

2.	Install the wiring harness at the seat frame:

•

Position the wiring harness at the seat frame.

•

Install the cushion pad wire (1) at the seat frame (2).

•

Clip in the wiring harness fixing point to the center.

•

Connect the wiring harness connector at the motor high adjustment.

•

Connect the three wiring harness connectors at the heating control module.

3.	Install the wiring harness (3) at the seat frame - right side:

•

Install the wiring harness connector socket to the seat belt buckle.

•

Connect the electrical connector.

•

Install the wiring harness fixing point to the seat frame.

4.	Install the wiring harness (2) to the seat frame - left side:

•

Connect the wiring harness connector to the seat belt tensioner.

•

Install the cable strap to the seat belt tensioner.

•

Install the wiring harness to the seat frame - left side.

5.	Install the wiring harness (1) at backrest frame:

•

Position the wiring harness to the backrest frame.

•

Install the fixing point of the wiring harness to the backrest bottom.

•

Install two fixing points to the backrest left side.

•

Connect the electrical connector of the lumbar pump.

•

Install the cable strap to the lumbar control.

•

Connect the electrical connector to the vent fan.

•

Install the two cable straps to the vent fan backrest.

•

Connect the electrical connector to the lumbar control.

•

Install the fixing point of the wiring harness electrical heating connector.

6.	Install the front seat back cushion with the cushion pad (1) to the backrest frame (2).

7.	Connect the wiring harness connector (1) of the seat back cushion heater.

8.	Note Proof the correct locking of wiring harness connector (2). Connect the wiring harness connector (2) to the seat side inflatable restraint module (1).

9.	Refer to Fastener Caution . Position the seat side inflatable restraint module (3) at the backrest frame. Screw both nuts (1, 2) from the seat side inflatable restraint module (3). Tighten to 3.25 Nm (29 lb in) .

10.	Clip in the front seat back cushion vent fan mat (3) at the vent fan (4). Position the cushion (5).

11.	Install the front seat back cushion to the backrest left side (1) and right side (2).

12.	Install the front seat head restraint adjust rod guide. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Adjust Rod Guide Replacement (8-Way-Power) Front Seat Head Restraint Adjust Rod Guide Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

13.	Install the front seat head restraint guide bezel. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Bezel Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Bezel Replacement (8-Way Power) .

14.	Install the front seat head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (8-Way Power) .

15.	Close the cushion at the backrest rear side.

16.	Install the driver or passenger seat inner recliner finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

17.

Install the driver or passenger seat adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (Lower 8-Way Power) .

18.	Install the tilt adjuster lever. Refer to Front Seat Tilt Adjuster Lever Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat 6-Way Hybrid) .

19.	Install the driver or passenger seat recliner lever. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Recliner Lever Replacement .

20.	Install the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .

21.	Install the driver or passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (8-Way-Power) Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (2/4/6-Way Hybrid, 6-Way Hybrid Sport) .
